How to Order from Precision Photo

5 Different options to choose from!

1. Order Online!  Place your order through our automated website. 
Use our automated shopping cart system by clicking on the
button next to the items you wish to buy and they will be added to your shopping cart.   When your selection of merchandise is complete, click on the "checkout" button on the shopping cart page to complete your order.  You can always view the contents of your cart by clicking on the "View Cart" button at the top of any page.   This system operates 24 hours a day, every day including holidays.  Orders are processed and shipped during regular business hours.

Precision Photo accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, and PayPal. 
2. Call us!  For fastest service we can take your order over the phone at (586)329-4495.

3. E-mail us!  We can take your order from e-mail. (response may be 1-2 days)
Just describe the items you would like or copy and paste them from the website listings.  Give us your name, shipping address, telephone number, and the first 8 digits of your credit card number.  We will calculate the shipping costs and total for you and e-mail it to you.  Then simply send a second e-mail with the rest of the numbers from the credit card, the expiration date, and the billing address for the credit card (if different from the shipping address).  We will then send your purchase to you right away.  By sending the credit card information split among two e-mails some measure of security is maintained.  Precision Photo accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
4. Snail mail us!
If you prefer, we are happy to take payment through the mail by check or money order.  If you are sending payment from outside the U.S. please make sure that your check is made out in U.S. Dollars.  It would be wise to call or e-mail first to make sure the merchandise you want is in stock and have it put on hold until your check arrives.  Please note that the merchandise will not be shipped until your funds clear our bank (except in the case of bank or cashier's checks or U.S. Postal money orders). 5. Pay Securely with  
Tell us what you would like by any method of communication and Precision Photo will e-mail you a PayPal invoice where you can securely enter your payment information.  Payments through PayPal can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or e-check.  If you already have a PayPal account, funds can be sent from your account to bocaphoto@aol.com.
 

Package Shipping    

We mostly use USPS for shipments because in most cases it allows us to save our customers money on shipping.  We are pleased to pass the savings along.  We are not in the shipping business, our shipping department runs at break-even or even a slight loss money wise.  Express delivery is available upon request.  Shipping cost will be quoted before item is billed.   Precision Photo does not ship C.O.D.  Shipping times vary quite a bit.  Shipments within the US usually take between 1 and 7 days depending on location and shipping method.  Export shipments usually take 4-10 days, but delays for customs are not uncommon and can increase the time to as much as 3 weeks or more in extreme cases.  Shipping times do not include weekends or holidays. 
Credit card transactions are never charged until the order ships, except in the case of special orders.  When PayPal is used as the payment method the payment is made at the time the order is placed.


Unclaimed or refused packages- Packages that are returned to us by the shipping carrier as unclaimed or refused will be treated as returns.  The order will be refunded less shipping charges to the original account.

BACKORDERS - When items that have been ordered are unavailable to ship they will be placed on backorder.  Backordered items that become available within 60 days of the original order will be shipped automatically unless we are asked to do otherwise.  Backordered items that become available more than 60 days after the original order may not be shipped until consent is given.  Backorders over six months old will be considered expired and will be cancelled.  When an order is placed and at least 50% value of the order ships initially, all remaining backorders will ship with no additional shipping charge.

SECURITY- We will NEVER share any of your information with anybody!  Your billing information is kept completely confidential and secure!  Identity theft is a serious issue today and we want you to be confident that all sensitive information is carefully controlled.  We also know that junk mail and e-mail is annoying so we never have and never will sell your information to a mailing list.

Order Tracking
We are admittedly low-tech here.  We don't have the level of automation necessary for automated order tracking.  If you'd like to check on the status of your order please email bocaphoto@aol.com or call (586) 329-4495.  Please make sure to reference the 9 or 10 digit order number (not PayPal transaction number) or if you don't have the order number please give your name and the date of the order.

Merchandise Returns

We will accept returns on merchandise with the exception of batteries, books, closeouts, videos, software, light bulbs or special orders which may only be exchanged for the same item within 30 days if defective in manufacture.  A return authorization is required for all returns.  The return authorization number should be clearly marked on the outside of the package. All returns must be sent within 30 days of original delivery and should be accompanied by a copy of the sales invoice.  Items must be in the same condition they were sold in, complete with all packaging and accessories as supplied at the time of sale.  New cameras, lenses, and electronics will be charged a 15% restocking fee.  Special orders and customized items are not returnable.  All refunds are less original shipping charges. Items that were ordered with a free shipping promotion will be refunded less our original shipping cost.

International Orders
We are happy to take orders from our international customers and we ship to over 75 countries.  However, due to recent security issues we thoroughly check all orders to make sure they are not fraudulent.  "High fraud risk" orders will be declined.
Import Duty
Please note that import duty and other taxes may be charged on your order.  These are determined by the customs department in the country of importation and are completely beyond our control and the sole responsibility of the buyer.  While the vast majority of our shipments outside the USA are not charged duty, occasionally it does happen.  Under no circumstances will we falsify customs documents nor rebate taxes on our shipments.
